VMware Virtualization System Engineer

 

Are you interested in a system administrator role in a dynamic context where new technologies and solutions are constantly explored?

We are looking for candidates with a professional profile of “VMware Virtualization System Engineer” for the offices of Pisa, Florence, Milan and / or Rome. The selected figures will be included in the "On-site Services & System Integration" Business Line, within the group dedicated to the design of solutions and provision of services in virtualization environments based on VMware technologies.

The selection is aimed at candidates with specific work experience.

 

Your Responsibilities:

The figure will be responsible for the execution of projects with medium / large clients.

In this role you will be required to:

  • interface with the Project Manager for task scheduling;

  • independently manage the execution of the same ensuring a professional result compliant with the project specifications;

  • create and maintain operating documentation;

  • maintain up-to-date levels of knowledge on new technologies in order to add value to the existing Design Team.

 

The ideal candidate must necessarily have:

  • excellent knowledge of virtualization environments and of at least one of the following technologies:

    • vSphere, VMware Horizon, NSX, vSAN, VMware Cloud on AWS, VMware Tanzu;

  • good knowledge of issues related to the provisioning of virtualized environments (Windows / Linux);

  • basic knowledge of block and file storage systems;

  • basic networking knowledge;

  • knowledge of systems and services monitoring techniques;

  • good troubleshooting skills;

  • ability to work in a team;

  • aptitude to manage relationships with the customer.

 

The qualifying elements are:

  • degree in scientific disciplines;

  • knowledge of cloud systems;

  • knowledge of the English language;

  • experience on Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery / Data Protection issues;

  • vRealize Automation suite knowledge.
